Young Team Posts Outstanding Season,


         Varsity Rips Way to  12-5-1  Mark




           With  only  four veterans  on  hand  at  the  season’s outset,   over  Bonn  and  SHAPE  when  the  Bithurg  matmen  posted
         coaches  and  wrestlers  at  Bithurg  High  School  knew  they   70-6  victories.  The  team  had  two  20-plus  winners.  Andy
         had  their work cut out at  the season’s start.  But hard work   Lemke  and  Ken  Zehner.  Lemke  was  named  the  team's
         and  long hours of practice paid  off as  they  posted a  12-5-1   MVW.  Tom  ’’Bird”  Collins  was  named  most  aggressive
         record.  The  Barons  piled  up  243  points  in  their  final  four   and  Rich  Marventano  and  Brad  Cooper  were  most
         meets  as  they  geared  up  for  the  All-Germany  and  Euro­  improved.  In  JV  wrestling,  Milton  Curry was  named  most
         pean  championships.  The  season’s  two  biggest  wins  were  improved and Maurice Greene was most inspirational.
