Leaving home—whether a hundred miles or a
thousand miles—to go to college is a big transition. When
students begin college, they don't just pack clothes and
decorations and cleaning supplies, they bring a roller
coaster of emotions that become their constant compan
ion. "I was excited, but mainly anxious," said TJ Stimson,
who came from Pennsylvania.
The excitement of dorm life in itself is matched by
the nervousness of having to move in with people that
one doesn't know. "I felt awkward and felt like every
one was watching me move in," said Laura Scott from
Connecticut.
Even though MichelleTomaszewski was from Florida,
she said, "I was a little nervous, but mostly excited. I was
starting college!" The nervousness and anxiety of going
to college is pushed aside by the fact that they did make it
to college! Thirteen years of school and finally one makes Lucas Hollenbach and Kevin
