having a ball attending the art
galleries that are right here in

money for materialistic things, the Art
Club raises money to buy knowledge
by visiting places such as the Designer
Show House of Omaha, the Old
Market Gallery Tour and Joslyn Art
Museum.
"I've learned a lot of interesting
things from Art Club that I normally
wouldn't have known," junior, Chris
Novak said.
One of the most elaborate trips
the Art Club took this year was to
Kansas City. Places they toured
included the Club Plaza, Kansas City
Art Institute and West Mont Farms
Market.
Primitive plans have been dis­
cussed concerning the art club taking
a trip to New York. This will most likely
take place in the 84-85 school year
after extensive fund-raising ideas
have been maneuvered.
To raise money for this creative
club they needed a creative idea. It
was accomplished with the idea of
photo buttons. Anyone could bring in
a favorite photo to be made into a
button for only a dollar. This added a
large portion to the saving fund.
Not only does the Art Club take
trips, but they have shows of their
often displayed with
art classes' work at
the Ralston Li­
brary and the
high school. Any­
one can come
and admire the
work this excep­
tional group has
to offer. Classes
aren't the only way
of attaining know­
ledge in Ralston!
