Writing a screenplay or a computer program isn't something that everyone
does, it takes time and a lot of patience, Jan Lund, French teacher, finds the
time and the patience to do this, She has written scripts for such television shows
as "Bob Newhart," "Family" and a treatment, not complete script, for "Little
House on the Prairie." At the moment she is writing a movie for television that
she is optimistic will sell.
Lund is also working on a computer program based on the lecture portion
of her French regional cooking unit taught to third year students. She is working
through an agent to sell the program and has had to rewrite it 15 times because
changes were necessary. According to Lund the revision process is a long one,
but if you want to sell you just have to keep at it. Unless you're willing to take
the criticism and advice you have to expect much more rejection. She is
adamant about selling the program so she is willing to do all the changes
necessary. It may take a while but she is going to keep writing until she gets
a winner.
