Looking for a way to earn some extra money?
Mowing, raking and shoveling are all chores of many
students. Mowing helps to keep a student busy during the
summer. Instead of sitting inside watching the soaps, one
could be outside getting some exercise and maybe even
a nice tan. A lot of boys try to make a little extra money
by mowing lawns. Their customers are people who don't
have a mower or just can't take the heat.
Babysitting may be another possibility when trying to
find ways to make extra money. One usually gets paid $1
per hour. When babysitting more than one child, one may
make anywhere from $150 to $2.50. Some teenagers have
full-time babysitting jobs for parents who work all day. In
this situation, the parent has a set amount that the sitter
is paid regularly.
“It's a good job because you can still do all the fun
things that you would do otherwise," said junior, Sue Ann
Smith.
In the winter, shoveling usually will pay a considerably
good amount. Customers may pay $10 to have their
driveways and walks shoveled. It's awfully cold out there,
but shoveling is another good way to earn money.
