Mosser believes kids should start playing when
they are young. He and son, Mitch plan game
strategies.
"It's going to take a lot of work in
the off-season to become a good
team. The kids are going to have
to play ball all summer and spend
more time playing in the gym.
Right now we're not spending
enough time working in the gym,"
Mosser concluded.
To make better teams for the
future, Mosser is starting programs
and camps for elementary
students. "You've got to start
them young. It's just like little
league baseball or football,
you've got to get them interest
ed, give them a little playing time
and let them have a little fun with
it," Mosser said. He is planning to
spend a week at every elemen
tary school during the summer,
giving the younger kids a chance
to play and learn the basic skills.
Mosser claims that teaching the
kids these skills gives them con
fidence and assures them that
they can play well. Starting the
kids young will improve the teams
of the future.
"All in all," Mosser said, "I think
I'm going to enjoy my stay here."
Mosser engages in a conversation with the
referees before the opening jump.
Even basketball coaches have to practice.
Coach Mosser likes to shoot baskets before
practice.
