H O S A (Future H ealth Professionals) is one o f the m any clubs a t Ralston High

dents involved. They sponsor all o f the b lo o d drives th a t ta k e place a t RHS

a n d a re invo lve d in com m unity service o p po rtu n itie s all y e a r long. O n e of
the annual com m unity service events th a t th ey d o is B u d d y S hopping for the
H ea rin g Im paired. H O S A students signed up to volunteer a n d w e re assigned
to a b u d d y w ith hearing disabilities. They then h e lp ed them shop fo r presents
on their C hristm as list a n d assisted them in w ra p p in g a n d labeling the gifts.
This club is an a w e so m e p a rt o f RHS because it helps kids w h o want

a c a re e r in health c a re to g e t their fo o t in the d o o r. They can g o to confer
ences a ro u n d N e b ra s k a w ith o the r H O S A m em bers fro m d iffe re n t schools to
learn the ropes o f d iffe re n t aspects o f health care. B eing in this club not only
gets you in vo lve d w ith the com m unity but can p re p a re you fo r your future! 58
