Alumni Homecoming
Brings Old Friends
Back Together Again

Gary Smith, Director of Alumni Relations, stated
the purpose of Alumni Day. “We are trying to
build a tradition at the College that one time a
year all the alumni can make their way back. We
want to show them that the College still cares.”
On Saturday of Labor Day weekend, nearly
one hundred alumni got together with faculty,
staff members, and present students for the
day’s events. The schedule began with a soccer
game between the alumni and the men's team.
After a buffet luncheon, there was a program
which included a skit written by Mrs. Elaine

Johnson and another presented by Dr. David
Moore and his family. Alumnus Lillian Drury
provided special music before Dr. Arthur Steele
gave a short challenge. Door prizes and a special
award presentation followed. After the program,
