These Faculty Members Are
Also On Staff And Must
Find Time For More Than
any of the faculty have other
responsibilities besides the classes they
teach. Some coach, some work in other
departments of the college, and others
are part-time professors with jobs
elsewhere.
Besides teaching psychology, Miss Kris DeWitt is
Assistant to the Dean of Women, Resident
Advisor, and the coach o f women’s basketball and
softball. Because she is so busy, she claims Psalm

55:22 and casts her burdens on the Lord daily. “ I
have to spend quality time with Him every
morning and give everything to Him, especially
when I know it will be a tough day.”
Mr. Brian Johnson’s job as Assistant Director of

Admissions is full-time, yet he makes time to teach
a class. He also takes a group of students to work
in prisons and detention centers for Christian
service. He says, “ I have to make sure I put
enough time into my class. My first love always
was teaching.” It was a struggle for him to give up
his classes when he began working on staff, but he
quickly learned to enjoy working with students in
a different way. These are just two that must
juggle teaching and staff jobs. With the Lord
directing them, they are successful at both.
