It Takes A Servant’s Heart
To Work On Staff In A
Busy College Ministry
VITAL JOBS
T he “ behind the scenes” workers are the
staff. When students choose a college, they
look at the qualifications of the faculty but
may never consider that the staff are a vital
part of the college ministry.
Jon Yoder noticed the difference in the food
service after Miss Beth Kerr joined the staff.
“ There’s more variety and there is a definite
improvement,” he said. Mr. Sam Renfro, new to
the College this year, works hard at making sure
that everything is clean and orderly. He and Miss
Kerr agree that working with the students is the
best part of their jobs.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we didn’t have bills to
pay? However, Mrs. Karin Puckett, who was
graduated from the College as co-valedictorian of
the class o f 1976, would be without a job. She
said, “ It’s neat to get to know the students, and
it’s a nice perk that I get to eat lunch with and
work down the hall from my husband.” She added
that when she stands on the steps of Cathcart and
looks out over the campus her father founded, she
thinks of what an awesome thing it has become —
a visible manifestation of the Lord’s power.
