Ralston High Chorus
The Ralston High chorus, composed of
fifty-one members, had a very active and
successful year. Under the direction of Mr.
Duane Petersen they reached new heights,
not to mention new sounds.
When the school's big production of the
year, South Pacific, rolled around, the chorus
provided the talent. The part of Nellie was
professionally handled by Linda Murray, who
was also the outstanding chorus member for
the year. Barry Swanson provided the suave
singing and acting for the role of Emile.
Talented Polly Gilpatrick portrayed Bloody
Mary and Dean Antonson was the Lieutenant.
At C h r i s t m a s the chorus sang the
Messiah. Two small groups were standouts
in this program: a mixed quartet and a mixed
octet. At this time also, the chorus appeared
on KETV in "The Sounds of Christmas."
D i s t r i c t Mus i c Contest netted more
superior ratings than ever before.
Last on the agenda was a trip to Council
Bluffs to present a c o n c e r t for Thomas
We'll now sing the chorus to the LSD Overture. Jefferson High School and a Spring concert
at home.
