         The next project was the Spring Concert.
         This featured a guest soloist and all money
         went into a fund to purchase new uniforms.
         The guest  soloist was Mr. Jack Bourdess,
         Fr e nc h   Hor n  player  with  the  Omaha
         Symphony.
         Contest  time  was  the  next  big  event  on
         the  agenda.  The  piece  s e l e c t e d   was
  u      uOberon"  by  von  Weder.  Help  was  re­
         ceived  on  this,  as  well  as  on  pieces
         s e l e c t e d   by  soloists,  at the  Aksarben
         Music  Clinic  held  at  Ralston for the  first
         time.  Mr.  Snider of the  U n i v e r s i t y  of
 [10     Nebraska  was  guest  conductor.  A  rating
 11)0    of  excellent  was  received at the  District
         Music  Contest  in Nebraska City.
