Military Staff

M AJOR ENRIQUE N. RUIZ is in his second year as SAI
at Saint Thomas. As SAI he is responsible for the M ili­
tary curriculum and discipline of the cadets. He is a
member of the Board of Discipline and Promotion
Board. His other duties include instruction of cadets,
R ifle Team co a ch , and a P hysical Education
supervisor.

SERGEANT FIRST CLASS NORM AN E. SHERVEY is serving in his third year at
the Academy. Mainly an instructor of freshman and sophomore students,
Sergeant Shervey is also the 1st Battalion Tactical Supervisor. In addition to
these duties he is custodian of Military Property and of the Bookstore.

CO M M AN D SERGEANT M AJOR CALVIN TOLPPI came to
Saint Thomas in winter of this year. He assumed his duties as
an instructor of sophomore, junior and senior classes. His
duties also include 2nd Battalion Tactical Supervisor and a PE
Supervisor.

SERGEANT FIRST CLASS M AURICE A. HEDSTROM left the
Academy in November after one year of service. During his
stay at Saint Thomas Sergeant Hedstrom taught sophomores,
juniors and seniors. He also served as 2nd Battalion Tactical
Supervisor. Another duty of his was moderator and advisor
to the Honor Guard.
