                                           Pep Rallies

Who rules the school? The seniors. Where is this most

apparent? Why, at pep rallies, of course.

When one attends a pep rally, it is easily seen who feels they rule the
school. They are the group of young studs chanting, “Go home fresh

men!”, in perfect harmony. They are the seniors, and they are gods.
When the inevitable senior humor surfaces in team speeches or introduc
tions the seniors lead the crowd in joyous laughter. More than any other

class there, they understand this humor. They are Experienced. At the
first pep rally of the year the new seniors must prove themselves to the
rest of the school. If their chants aren’t loud enough, or their signs

aren’t insulting enough, they can forget about being the unanimous lead
ers of the school. But this does not happen very often. Most senior
classes continue the tradition of the classes before, who have ruled

over them. And this tradition can be seen b est at those wacky RHS
                                           pep rallies.
