Residence hall students often can get to

know commuters just as well as other

residence hall students. Such is the case

with Susan Williams and commuters Talma

Heard and Julia Armstrong, whose

relationship Susan describes as “ just like

sisters.” She adds, “ It’s nice to know that

when we want to get off campus, we can

just go hang out at Talma’s.”

Since commuters have limited time and

cannot escape to a dorm room, they must

study whenever they find a few minutes

and wherever they find a place. Mike

Klekotta finds a bench outside of

Dambach Hall on which to use the time

between classes to review for an

upcoming English exam.
