ine art is a simple term, yet many
people automatically associate the
words with a sense of elitish
snobbery. The College’s use of the
term “ fine art” takes on a less
mythical quality, as students
participate in a series of music and
speech recitals. These recitals
showcase the musical and dramatic abilities of fellow
>
students. This year, freshman Matthew Costella
wowed the crowd with several difficult piano pieces
performed with professional skill and flair. The
students also enjoyed the piano selection that
freshman Rebecca Anderson and sophomore Heather
Wilson played together — a long and difficult piano
concerto written by Edward MacDowell for two
different pianos.
Senior Greg Bonnell, a student body favorite and
Sophmore Robyn Bonnell is always good choir soloist, sang several songs; one of which was a
