Bible teacher or a pastor, practical experience is
often the best teacher. Bible and pastoral studies
majors testify that the confidence gained and lessons
learned from experience weighs as heavily as the
knowledge gained from classes.
The Bible faculty encourage and aid the students in
their ministry as well. The many years of experience
that Dr. Norman Spotts, Dr. Ed Oliver, and Mr. Bob
Carver have not only helped students learn in class
but given them solid examples to follow. Bible
students agree that the relationship the students
have with their professors is an important part of
learning practical experience. The classroom is
important also because the background knowledge
learned in class helps improve the study of the Bible
which is necessary for preparing effective messages
and devotionals.
Bible majors The students may know their Bibles well; however,
and pastoral it is impossible to have an effective ministry without
some practical experience. The confidence that
