Where can you find education majors? Almost anywhere, but most
often they will be found in the library. Because of the nature of the
education program, many additional hours are required in hands-
on preparation. Virginia Edwards and Carol Bradshaw spend many
hours in the library working on projects. As a result of this
training, students feel better prepared to step into the classroom.

At the conclusion of student teaching, the student interns and their
cooperating teachers are recognized at a banquet held every
semester to honor interns. Jamie Munro, an intern at Eisenhower
Elementary School, is seated with her cooperating teacher, Mrs.
Linda Hayes, and her parents Dr. and Mrs. James Munro. Mrs. Hayes
was chosen as the cooperating teacher of the year.
