The Final Step For
verything education majors have learned is put to

test during their student internship which takes place
the final semester in college. Working closely with a
cooperating teacher from one of the local schools
provides practical hands-on experience for these
students. During the internship, the students take
complete responsibility for the classroom. Teaching
the class is just the beginning. Interns soon discover
there are discipline problems to solve, lesson plans
to make, activities to attend, and parent-teacher
conferences to hold.

education division took a major stride toward
program approval by the state of Florida. On October
