igh school dances can provide moments and emotions that you will remember for
many years after you walk the stage, and this years homecoming dance at Ralston High
School was no exception. A variety of students embraced this years 'Oscar' theme, with
many wearing very fashionable outfits and bringing unique looks to the red carpet. The
night quickly began as crowds of students filled the dance floor while others patiently
lined up in the commons for snacks and refreshments.
As the night grew on, it seemed that every student in attendance brought a different
personality to fit in with the vibe of this years dance. Smiles filled the walls of the
school, with people eagerly entering the photo booth ready to take pictures with their
friends. Just sitting down next to someone you don't even know very well seemed to
spark a conversation. Everybody that you came in contact with happily greets you with
smiles and positive vibes.
One of the greatest moments of the night was when Logan Davis took the center of
the dance floor. He began break dancing as everyone in the crowd surrounded him and
cheered. Just as the dance seemed to wear down, moments such as this sparked the
crowd into mayhem. Throughout the night students flooded the cafeteria doors, going
in and out of the dance hall. At the end of the day, it was amazing to be able to take
pictures of my peers during one of the most important moments in their lives. Looking
through the photos, it's hard not to feel a sense of belonging.
