alston High School brought to Mamma Mia! to the stage this year. This
performance was exciting for everyone involved because of the show’s uplifting nature
and the fact that Ralston High was the first Nebraska school to perform this musical!
Seniors Chloe Rosman and Katie Kimble both felt the pressure of a short prep time
for the show. "It stressed a bunch of the cast out not having a lot of time to practice,"
explains Kimble. Rosman agreed when saying, "We practiced for about a month and a
half, which is pretty short for a musical! I'm very proud of what we put on that stage in
such a short amount of time."
Despite the stress from the show, both girls learned a lot from being involved. Other
cast members must've felt the same from start to finish. "I learned that the
underclassmen are very talented! A lot of our show contained freshmen and
sophomores," exclaims Rosman. Kimble reflects, "I learned to always expect the
unexpected. Things would go wrong left and right and I would have to be prepared to
                fix them."
Every step put into this show was well worth it, by the end of each night the cast
had people up from their seats and singing recognizable songs such as "Mamma Mia!"
and "Dancing Queen". The characters really inserted the audience into their show and
guided them through a story of love. There was so much energy pouring out throughout
