Christian Kratina:
"We've played to­

gether since we
i were sophomores.
We knew we had
talent, and we
worked real
hard." Tad Jurgens: "Good pre­
season practice. We used to come
out of those pre-season practices
just aching." Aaron
Christensen: "We practiced de­
fense a lot more. keifer: Broz
was a good coach. He brought
us herebut that's Coach Stewart's
main thing." Going to state?
Jurgens: It was great." Keifer:
"It was a good feeling. Jurgens:
"It felt like we were reborn again."
Keifer: "Nobody expected any­
thing, but inside of our team we
knew we were good." Kratina:
"It was awesome, it was fun. It's
i something that everyone should
experience." Jurgens: "Being
second in the state of Nebraska
isn't that bad, considering we
weren't even picked to be in the
top 10." Kratina: ” . . . you'd
think about it as a little kid, go­
ing down there and watching all
the time and then finally getting
a chance to go down there and
play was great. You can't explain
it. It's just the feeling." Jurgens:
"Your senior year's supposed to
be your best year, and going
down to state and being 2nd in
the state made it that much bet­
ter . . .W e knew that we were
good enough." Kratina:"... It's
been awesome. It's been a great
year. I'm gonna miss these guys."
Keifer: "We
waited for it. Ever
since our 6th grade
year. We'd say,
wait 'til our senior
year. We really
did think we were
going to win the
state championship." Kratina:
"We came close but at least we
got down there."
