How long have you worked at
Park 4 Theaters? "It will be two

I'm assistant manager on Mon­
day, Wednesday, and Sunday
nights, I get to pick my own
hours. I don't have to work Fri­
day or Saturday nights. Actu­
ally I do less. If there is a problem
or people want to talk to some­
one like a manager I have to talk
to them. I don't have to sell
tickets. Sometimes I have to run
the movies. Sometimes there are
complaints if people are smok­
ing in the theater, if it's too cold
or too hot. People being obnox­
ious or kids trying to sneak into
movies. It's not that big of a deal,
but I still have to handle it. Train­
ing? Just my manager taught
me how, it's not that hard. Hours
a week? Between twenty or
twenty five. Sometimes thirty.
Do your peers treat you differ­
ently? No, there's one girl that
does, but other than that, they
treat me the same. They like it
better when I'm there because
I'm a little more lenient. The
people older than me are only
big of a deal. I make $4.70 now,
but before I made $4.25. You get
to pick your own hours. I don't
have time to see movies, but we
can. I can let people into movies
free . . . (my responsibilities in­
clude) working with people, with
problems that come up, talking
to people trying to calm them
down if they are upset about
something that happened dur­
ing the movie. Also working
with money. I have to make
deposits.’ Do you plan to make
a career of theater work? "No,
definitely not. I want to go to
school and become a chiroprac­
tor. If I stay in Omaha to go to
school, I'll probably work there."
