                                          Fleming: "It was the military's last attempt to take back its
                                          country."
                                          Jedlicka: "It was the last attempt to keep Communism in
                                          Russia."
                                  ■O      Fleming:  "I  don't  think  Gorbachev  was  a  Communist;
                                          he's just the guy who started to change the government.
                                   <D     They may not want him, but they need him."
                                   <D     Jedlicka: "Maybe he could be the ambassador to the U.S.,
                                          if anything at all."
                                          Chase: "Gorbachev is gone."
                                          Heim: "I think he helped started this whole change, and
                                          that's all they needed him for, so they won't keep him in."
                                          Luwkowski: "The change is going to take years though;
                                          it's not just going to happen overnight."
                                          Jedlicka: "Yeah, if they move too fast it will be like culture
                                          shock . . . People were starving."
                                          Heim:  "They  started  seeing  all  the  freedoms  that  we
                                          Americans have."
