■Senior Laura Stageman on field trips:
"It (the Outdoor Ed canoe trip) was a lot of fun. We
cooked shish kebabs, which were so good, and got so
burned! Tim Lukowski had this dinosaur tattoo sticker
on his shoulder and he had it on all day. So when he took
it off, he had a white tracing of that dinosaur on his
shoulder, where he wasn't burned . . . . What I really
O remember about canoeing is when Louie Cunningham
and Kerry Woodard in one boat, Chelisa Devine and Ted
O Haugen in another and me and Bryan Weis in our boat
A all tied our boats together so we could lay out. Well, it was
really windy and we all drifted way out. So we untied our
boats to go back and the wind kept on pushing us out. So
1 was rowing so hard against the wind that it felt like my
a> arms were going to fall off! I turned around to yell at
Bryan to row harder and when I did he was just sitting
D > there laughing! I was so mad! I was so scared that we
were never going to get back! Finally, we did get back,
but my arms hurt for days!"
