On Wednesday, December 4,
2002, Iraqi people passed a
poster of President Saddam
Hussein in Baghdad's Alawi dis
trict. The poster is an example of
the propaganda Hussein employs
to control his people, to develop
nationalism, and to engender
support for his government. For
decades Hussein and his policies
have thwarted western interests
and influence in the Gulf region.
His increased power has enabled
him to step up his anti-American
vitrol. Hussein’s has openly de
fied UN policy regarding nuclear
weapons and germ warfare.
