The Camp Team gathers
in front of their mode of transpor
tation for the summer-a college
van. In front is Pue Sysoumang,
Megan Haynes, and Paul Daley;
standing in the back is Kerri
Lamborn, Mike Morgan, Dave
Atkins, and Greg Livingston.
On a side
trip be-
t w e e n
weeks at
camp, the
g r o u p
stopped at
G r o u n d
Zero in new York City. As they
were traveling to the next camp,
Mr. Mark Bates suggested that they
visit the site. It was 10:00 P.M.
and the visitors deck was closed,
but they were able to look through
the fence. Paul said, "It didn't re
ally hit us that this was the place
where terrorist had crashed the
planes and caused thousands of
people to lose their lives." Across
from the site, a huge board con
tained written messages from visi
tors. Kerri wrote, "CCC remembers
and we are praying."
Taking a break from a hike
at Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go, Pue
Sysoumang gives a camper a
hug. She learned from her sum
mer ministry that camps in the
states are as much of a mission
field as are foreign lands.
