Shag is among the most colorful of our
class athletes. In the spring, his curve is mur
der for opposing batters, and last year it
meant the deciding game of the Prep School
title for M.B. The "Camel Driver” also
worked up quite a reputation for the way he
handles curves Mr. Raines likes to throw.
Walt is the easy-going guy who goes wild
for service at the snack bar. His deep, some
what hoarse voice will be remembered for
such profound utterances (called Delphic by
E.B.R.) as: "W hy?” and "What difference
^€f ■ /?, 9* does that make?” W alt’s occasional confused
look and leering smile show what being with
the rest of us guys has done to him. Keep
smiling, Shag!

Steve is the only Senior who bleaches his
hair; he says that it’s to scare his soccer op
ponents. Steve has had a sparkling season,
and he definitely holds the goals-per-minute
record. In slack periods (when the enemy
was least expecting it) Coach Smyth would
put him in for two minutes, just long enough
for him to slip in a quick score. But we all
know that Steve Smith gets to play because
he is Mr. Smyth’s father. Steve is also a
great sailor, because he comes up against so
much hot air at M.B. But he creates his own
share as a member of the Glee club. Because
of his spirit and determination, success should
be well within Steve’s grasp.
