FRESHMEN

                     To the Class of 1967:

After overcoming the apprehension of changing from Middle to Upper School, we
found the higher grades to be an interesting challenge to our intellectual abilities.
Already our class has assured its mark on the athletic and academic future of Moses Brown.
For instance, we are all proud of the fact that two of our students, Chip Tucker and
Alan Mason, achieved High Honors and that 5 others made Honors. Athletically, many
freshmen played active roles in varsity and junior varsity sports. One boy played varsity
football, two played varsity soccer, one ran varsity cross-country and track, one was on
varsity swimming, one played varsity basketball, and two played varsity hockey.
The teaching staff was excellent this year. Mr. Long teamed up with Mr. Owens
to teach Algebra; Mr. Ransome and Mr. Pratt took care of History; and we soon found
out that biology was Full but Latin was Fuller. Rounding out the Latin team was Mr.
                     Ransome.
The English staff was composed of Mr. Johnson, Mr. Nutt, and Mr. Huntsman.
The French staff consisted of Mr. Whitford and Mr. Pezet. Moreover, Mr. Ransome
did a fine job as our class advisor.
As our freshman year comes to a close, we all look back with fond memories of the
past. Before the year had begun, each of us doubted that we would ever survive, but
now that's all behind us; we can now look ahead with great expectations to another
                     wonderful year.
                                                                        ALAN G. D eVALERIO
