From  the  roaring  halls  of  the  Athenian  Car-
                                                                razan,  from  the  bulging  current  of  Rome,  from
                                                                the  torreodors  of  Madrid,  from  the  immense
                                                                "Belle  Piece”  from  Vienna  and  London,  from
                                                                Munich  and  Moscow,  came  great  cultures  inter­
                                                                mingled  and  unserted  to  finally  lie  placidly  in
                                                                the  acme  of  culture:  The  Jolly  Poets’  Club.
                                                                Like  from  any  consequential  movement,  opposi­
                                                                tion  arose:  torrents  of  harsh  reverberation  gush­
                                                                ed  forth  from  podiums.  Yet  the  Jolly  Poet,  al­
                                                                though  at  times  desperate  and  almost  overcome,
                                                                rose  just  enough  to  proudly  lift  the  Churchillian
                                                                sign  of  victory  above  the  clashing  flood.  As
                                                                opposition  increased,  thus  did  the  Jolly  Poet’s
                                                               determination:
                                                                  "The  wrath  of  Math  shan’t  lead  us  from  our
                                                               Path.”
                                                                  The  goal  of  Jolly  Poets?  Our  goal  is  the  goal
                                                               of  life  itself.  Hence,  in  but  a  short  time  each
                                                               Jolly  Poet  shall  happily  lay  down  the  seal  of
                                                               life  (but  never  of  honor)  to  join  the  eternal
                                                               right  on  "that  isle,  that  isle,  that  glorious  isle.”
