From the roaring halls of the Athenian Car-
razan, from the bulging current of Rome, from
the torreodors of Madrid, from the immense
"Belle Piece” from Vienna and London, from
Munich and Moscow, came great cultures inter
mingled and unserted to finally lie placidly in
the acme of culture: The Jolly Poets’ Club.
Like from any consequential movement, opposi
tion arose: torrents of harsh reverberation gush
ed forth from podiums. Yet the Jolly Poet, al
though at times desperate and almost overcome,
rose just enough to proudly lift the Churchillian
sign of victory above the clashing flood. As
opposition increased, thus did the Jolly Poet’s
determination:
"The wrath of Math shan’t lead us from our
Path.”
The goal of Jolly Poets? Our goal is the goal
of life itself. Hence, in but a short time each
Jolly Poet shall happily lay down the seal of
life (but never of honor) to join the eternal
right on "that isle, that isle, that glorious isle.”
