This year for football has been one of the best. The boys really stepped up their game to prove how good of a
team that they are. Starting the season off by having brutal two-a-day practices seemed to really show how
I serious this season was going to be. Losing their first game to beatrice, the rams weren’t off to a very good
start. But, they shook it off and managed to pull a dominating win against the Seward Bluejays. As their sea­
son went on the Rams appeared to be unstoppable, killing the Norris Trojans at our homecoming game. The
boys couldn’t be more happier. When asked what the best part of the season was, Will Basset responded
with, “Beating Pius at home, especially since we haven’t ever done that before.” On this years boys Varsity
football team they had seniors. When asked how is this year different from the others, and how is the
leadership? Coach Zahn replied with “ we have an excellant core of seniors who really show the younger guys”.
The Boys made it into playoffs, proving to be the team that they always wanted to be. Ending their season with
a winning record of 8-2 the rams seemed to be pretty satisfied.
