                                                                     The  members  of  the  Marching
                                                               Band  have  spent  many  long  hours  of
                                                               practice  in  preparation  for  their  per­
                                                               formances on the  football  field.  These
                                                               talented  performers,  under  the  direc­
                                                               tion  of  Mr.  Byron  Kindig,  not  only
                                                               display  their  musical  abilities  on  the
                                                               field,  but  they  also  compete  in  area
                                                               band  competitions.  This  year.  Drum
                                                               Major  Kenneth  Alves  and  Assistant
                                                               Drum  Major  Donna  Hite  led  the  band
                                                               to  twelfth  place  in  the  state  com­
                                                               petition,  accumulating  the  highest
                                                               score  in  marching  for  the  second
                                                               straight year. Anyone involved in band
                                                               can  be  called  “an  athlete  for  all
                                                               season.’’
