Italian Club




            Under the  leadership of Mr.
      Varani, the Italian Club offers its
      members  a  variety  of  activities
      relating  to  the  Italian  language
      and culture.
            Founded  in  1968,  the  Club
      offers  one  scholarship  yearly  to                                                                                          ,^inri
      an  outstanding  senior  Italian                                                                                                  R2
      student.  In  addition,  the  club
       receives     scholarships       funds
      from the Italian Cultural Society
      of  Lower  Bucks  County.  This
      club  provides  field  trips  of  in­
      terest      to    Italian-language
      students,  presents  a  float  at  the
      annual  Homecoming  game, and
      awards  medals  to  outstanding
      seniors who are club members.

      Mathletes







            This year’s Mathlete’s Team
      would  even  have  made  Euclid
      take  notice.  The  squad,  led  by
      Captain  Jim  Marlow  and  Co-
      Captain Ed Nasta, had to rebuild
      this  year  after  a  heavy  loss  of
      members  due  to  graduation.
      However,  by  the  end  of  the
      season, the team had multiplied
      to    eleven     mathematically-in­
      clined  members,  working  under
      the direction of Mr. Kalodner.
            The  team  competed  seven
      times  with  the  other  mathlete
      teams  in  the  Bucks  County  In­
      terscholastic          Mathematics
      League  and  also  hosted  a  meet
      here at Wilson.
