Because we refuse to lose
by Hailee Betts & Ashley Carroll
Stand tall, talk small, play ball. We interviewed the
Wbllowing three, freshman Gabe Hall, sophomores Harley
Cazina and Bonlis Choi. Something these three shared is
that their favorite part is being around friends, being active,
and getting your adrenaline going as you hear the crowd go
wild. Some keys things you would need for basketball is a
positive attitude, great sportsmanship, and working as hard
as you can.
Working hard and positive attitudes are a big thing
when it comes to basketball, the harder you work , the
harder it is to lose. Attitude is everything, you don't win on
emotion, you win on execution. Even though basketball is
exciting and energetic there are some downfalls to it as
well. Man to man defense and even practice itself can be
boring. “Supporting each other and saying encouraging
words to one another helps keep everyone pumped and
motivated during practice”, says freshman Gabe Hall.
The JV team had some challenging and tough times
during the season, ending the season with 4 wins, 16 losses.
The boys didn’t give up and always played their hardest,
making them tougher for next year's season. Reserve had a
total of 0 wins and a total of 1 1 losses, but next year
they’re ready to change the game. Ending the season with 4
wins and 13 losses, the freshman team always stuck
together and worked as hard as they could. This year’s
season brought all the teams closer and ready to be a
stronger team for next year.
