To say that this year’s staff is star-struck,
bedazzled by the spotlight, is to do it little justice.
Although they knew that their inclusion into the ilk
of past Editors-in-Chief would skyrocket them to
fame, they bore themselves before the inquisitive
public eye with an air of modesty. They addressed
fans with affable familiarity, signed autographs for
a demanding public, and gathered in the Upper
School for a Gatsbian spectacle of hors d’oeuvres
and cocktails... or so it seemed. In late October E!
(Produced by Trinity’s own Dr. Eldzal) distributed
an exclusive “behind-the-scenes-look” documenting
the dulling light of these once brilliant stars as a beast
(dubbed “fame” by laymen) crawled into their brains.
Yes, this once modest group of doting artists had begun
to winnow away under the heat of the spotlight. But
their triumphant comeback was at hand and in
November the Trinity Editors-in-Chief shined again
with all the sheen of the silver screen. The only
challenge now lurking in the shadows during Ad Eloc
to avoid the ever-probing lens of the paparazzi.
One white Armani t-shirt: $56. One “wom-in” pair
of jeans from Diesel: $135. One gold pendant with high:
reflective properties: $260. One pair of navy-blue i
Adidas Especial”: $78. Andrea Angelo Pasinetti:
priceless. Every Saturday, as the computer room fills
up with the Editors-in-Chief,
Section Editors, artists, Dr.
Idzal and multiple bags of cookies, something seems to be missing. Is the
radio off? Has the blueberry-scented dry-erase marker run out at long
last? Alas, we all realize,
Andrea—our in house Italian
Stallion—is nowhere to be
found. Perhaps he’s in Capri
on a photo shoot (eh-hem, as
the lighting boy...) or maybe
he’s just fighting with Kibby
as we sit in the lab with the
radiance of the computer
screens casting light on our
not-so-olive skin.
