After classes, work, and assignments, very few precious moments of time remain.
For those students who live on-campus, how to fill those moments can be a difficult de
cision. Some choose to go off-campus to Starbucks, Borders, or Target; however, some
decide to spend time in fellowship in the dorm. Dorm devotions give students a chance
to share God's Word and His blessings with each other, as well as share prayer requests
and praises. Spiritual discussion can also come as a result of the students talking about
classroom lecture and even everyday events. Often, students gather in the RA's apart
ments to watch their favorite programs and spend time with other students.
Finny Kennedy, a frequent visitor to Miss Holland's apartment, said, "I like going
because it is fun watching everyone else really get into a show, and then I start talking and
watch them yell. It's a good time. I also like just hanging out in the RA's apartment with
friends, eating, or whatever we feel like doing." In response to Linny, Tiffany Deose said,
"I love the fact that we can never get through a whole show without hearing someone
talk or comment about what is going on."
On the men's side of campus, Alan Hedrick said, " Its great to relax; it helps
take your mind off of the routine college life. It's fun to get LOST in a series." Watching
television in the RA's apartment is not the only activity that students enjoy. Playing video
games, hanging out in the cafe, and just goofing off are just a few of the other activities
that fill the last moments of the day.
