district to start my career," said
Mike Fantaski.
Fantaski, typing and business
teacher, was just one of five
new teachers. Others were
Patrica Culver, English, and
speech; Linda Lazure, resource;
Allan Amandus, band director;
and Dave Williams, English and
debate.
"Ralston High School
impressed me immediately with
the friendliness and helpfulness
of staff and students. I felt at
ease here in no time," stated
Amandus.
Most new teachers agreed,
and also felt that Ralston had a
lot to offer that other schools
didn't. A "very active student
body involved in a wide variety
of extracurricular activities" was
noticed by Lazure. Lazure also
had high praise for the teaching
staff, describing them as "very
professional and cooperative."
Running on school grounds to keep in
shape after a day of teaching, English
and debate teacher Dave Williams of
ten jogs up to ten miles a day.
