            It’s  a  long  way  from  New  Jersey  to  Providence,
         Rhode Island, but Tom Knight survived the trip. On
          that  pleasant  September  day  in  1953  he  had  been
          officially  enrolled  as  a  student  at  Moses  Brown.  He
          gained  a  position  in  three  varsity  sports,  football,
          track  and  basketball.  He  also gained  recognition  for
          the  "Tom  Knight  jokes”  and  for  his  "affaire-du
          coeur.”

                                                               Ed, chiefly responsible for  the keeping of order  in
                                                             study  hall,  apple  of  the  teacher’s  eye,  has  received
                                                             numerous  citations  for  safe  driving  from  various
                                                             state  officials.  Just  as  Mr.  Raines  was  getting  down
                                                             to brass tacks one memorable day, he discovered Ed’s
                                                             "Achille’s  Heel.”  By  dint  of  occasional  appearances
                                                             on the tennis courts, Ed has worked his way into the
                                                             ranks of the tennis team.
