Although always adept at mathematics, Davis
found his forte in mechanical drawing and astounded
the engineering world by taking a 3rd year of that
subject. He also won acclaim by being a consistant
winner in the Science Fair. When not busy pounding
the dents out of cars, he found time to be one of
Jubie's top hurdlers.

Having joined the class in Miss Pixley’s renowned
First Intermediate, Dave entered the Upper School
under the shadow of the Headmaster’s cup. He soon
made his way to fame, however, in swimming and
tennis; and even used to forego his date on Monday
afternoon to officiate at the chess club of which he
was president.
