THE DELPHIAN
Anthony F. Hindley, Editor-in-Chief — Mr. Arthur W. Cate, Faculty Advisor
Under the excellent guidance of Mr. Cate and Anthony
Hindley, Editor-in-Chief, The Delphian, our literary magazine,
successfully began its fifty-third year of publication. Many
more sports pictures were added this year and undoubtedly
created a bigger interest. At the same time The Delphian
increased its literary capacity by adding a longer list of stu
dent themes.
Associate editors Behrendt, Benjamin, Merchant, and
Sherman wrote editorials, while Hollman, as Historian, con
tributed two excellent articles on Johnny Fletcher, and Mr.
Whitford. Wetherald added to the magazine with some ex
cellent sports drawings. Leand and Dwares, business manag
ers, provided finances by securing advertisements. Dick Cur
tis, Exchange Editor, worked diligently and received maga
zines and newspapers from a great many schools in this coun
try and even from England. Walter Silva contributed some
fine sports pictures and Buonanno handled the magazine cir
culation.
The Board could never have put out The Delphian with
out Mr. Cate. We wish to thank him for his help throughout
the year.
