                     Swingers

                     raveling around to many different
T places were the swingers of
                Ralston High, the swing choir.
                  Peony Park Ballroom, Beth-El
                Synagogue, and Anthony’s Restaurant,
were only a few of the places they
                performed. They entertained the
                presidents and vice-presidents of many
of the big businesses in Omaha at the
Granada Royale, and placed second in
                Midlands Jazz Festival.
Along with these activities they still
                performed the regular season concerts
with the other various choirs. However,
there was a change in the regular
                varsity choirs. Mr. Dwaine Price,
director of the choirs, divided varsity
choir into two parts, concert choir and
                varsity choir. Students auditioned for
these choirs and Mr. Price placed them
                where he thought they belonged.
Another new addition to the choir
section was the purchase of new robes
                for varsity choir.

A fter singing their hearts out at the winter concert, the
members of the concert choir take a quick breather as director,
Mr. Dwaine Price takes a proud bow for his choir.
Singing a solo at the annual chili supper sponsored by the
swing choir, talented Roy Bone entertains for the people
                attending the supper
