Swingers
raveling around to many different
T places were the swingers of
Ralston High, the swing choir.
Peony Park Ballroom, Beth-El
Synagogue, and Anthony’s Restaurant,
were only a few of the places they
performed. They entertained the
presidents and vice-presidents of many
of the big businesses in Omaha at the
Granada Royale, and placed second in
Midlands Jazz Festival.
Along with these activities they still
performed the regular season concerts
with the other various choirs. However,
there was a change in the regular
varsity choirs. Mr. Dwaine Price,
director of the choirs, divided varsity
choir into two parts, concert choir and
varsity choir. Students auditioned for
these choirs and Mr. Price placed them
where he thought they belonged.
Another new addition to the choir
section was the purchase of new robes
for varsity choir.
A fter singing their hearts out at the winter concert, the
members of the concert choir take a quick breather as director,
Mr. Dwaine Price takes a proud bow for his choir.
Singing a solo at the annual chili supper sponsored by the
swing choir, talented Roy Bone entertains for the people
attending the supper
