These cries, the sound of roaring type
writers, papers crumpling, and the cam

heard in Room 406.
The yearbook staff didn’t just start
working at the beginning of the year; they
attended a summer workshop June 29 to
July 3 in Lincoln. At this workshop they
learned different layout designs and how
to turn out a good book.

tors had to pick a headline type and lay
out style. Once this was determined, it
was time to put in photo assignments,
draw layouts, write copy, and meet dead
lines.
The staff took a workday to design the
book cover and tour the Josten’s printing
plant in Topeka, Kansas on October 3.
On October 13, the yearbook and news
paper staffs attended a journalism work
shop in Lincoln.
In June, after a lot of writing, creativ
