I Saved A

                 Winter For

                          Irene

The Ralston High School drama departm ent
was put to the test once again. Not only did
they have to live up to the expectations of their
student body who is constantly craving good
entertainm ent, but they also had to regroup
and include all of the fresh, new talent. With
the early fall performances of “I Saved a Win
ter Just for You” and “Irene”, the clan of
        talented young Thespis followers performed
to the height of their abilities. A survey was
given to the cast m embers of each play to self
inform the comm on folk of their outlook on
their performances. The results are in and
        survey says:
“I Saved a Winter Just for You”
This play was basically a series of vignettes and poems
that relate to a teenager’s life, death, history, and other
important aspects of life. Kim Amandus-12
        How did your performance go?
Live performances are never the same. We had good
performances, and we also had some performances that
were “not quite there.” Zac Dillon-11
How did the cast get along?
We have all known each other for quite awhile. We
spend so much time together working toward a com
mon goal, so we have to act like a family. Natalya
        Shannon-12
        Most memorable moment?
When Jeremy Kalina jumped out of the tree, the leather
strips on his vest whirled around and made him look
        like a wheel. Zac Dillon-11
        Slapping Chris Onken. Derek Wilson-12
        “Irene”:
It is about a girl who falls in love with a rich guy, gets
engaged, and helps a man named Madame Lucy gain
fame for his dressmaking. Luke Grosse-11
        How did your performance go?
I thought that all performances were great. Robin
        Richards-10
I think that it went very well. There were a lot of expe
rienced people that helped some of the younger cast
        members along. Molly Holz-12
How did the cast get along?
The cast got along well. There was a lot of chemistry
        up on stage. Jim Brazeal-11
Pretty well. There were some little “tiffs” here and
there, and cases where we got really sick of each other.
        Shelley Kropp-9
        Most memorable moment?
My most memorable moment off stage was everyone
playing with my handcuffs?????? Nick Gibilisco-11
