T he fourth year of the existence of the Student Activities Committee at
Moses Brown has been one of successful accomplishments. As it has
done in recent years, it has striven to make life more enjoyable and
more pleasant for the student body.

Under the conscientious leadership of Dick Merritt, as President, and Mr.
Patterson, as faculty adviser, the Committee has loyally upheld the high stand
ards which previous committees have set. The members, elected from the differ
ent forms, were as follows: Joseph Wild, Alfred Stokes, Fred Sawyer, Richard
Chase, Randall Young, Robert Scott, Gordon Otis, Charles Talcott, Chase
Sanderson, Charles Gross, George Spelt, and Edward Dooley.
The ever-valuable bulletin board in the Boys’ Parlor has been faithfully
kept up to date by George Spelt.
Numerous teas have been served to visiting teams under a committee
headed by Hoel Bowditch. These teas have been very popular, and they have
been instrumental in promoting friendship with visiting teams.
The Committee’s most important work of the year was done in behalf of
the poor and needy through the Good Will Fund and the Community Fund.
The sum of $136 was pledged by the student body for these organizations,
which the Committee has been privileged to assist. Funds have also been
donated to various other causes which have sought the help of the Committee.

The ever-popular magazines and games in the Boys’ Parlor have as usual
been under the jurisdiction of the Committee.

The S. A. C. hopes that it has succeeded in increasing the comfort and
happiness of every boy in School.
