A little wooden crate is one of the oldest items on display in
the founder’s Room, the small museum that sits off the main
entrance of Tyson foods’ corporate headquarters in springdale,
                        Arkansas.
The rickety box that once transported chickens, pitted and gray
with age, represents a small link to Tyson’s humble past as a hauler of
poultry in the Northwest Arkansas area.
Larry “Blue” Keene, Tyson’s director of transportation who, through
experience, curiosity and osmosis, stays up to date on company
developments that range far beyond the loading docks. He can also
offer a history lesson on the company, from its beginnings as a small
chicken transporter to the world’s largest meat producer.
