 Tanzania  for about 28 days, then they mould them into  shapes, smear
 them with clay soil and bake them. Most of the people in her
 community are low income earners and cannot afford to use
 electricity or gas cookers, so  there is high demand for cheaper
 fuel. Sonia felt the need to help by producing affordable char-
 coal that conserves the environment and is not harmful.
 Through her business, Sonia has helped many Tanzanian
 youth to get employment through collection of waste material,
 production and packaging, and distribution of charcoal in the
 villages. Many people have accepted the recycled charcoal and
 use it, which encourages her. Through exhibitions and using
 network marketing, the demand in Tanzania has expanded
 and this has created a vision for Sonia  that someday her char-
 coal will sell across Africa.

 Competition 2017



 JA (Junior Achievement) South Africa is pleased to announce

 Competition 2017, in collaboration with JA Africa. The event
 will take place from 6-8 December 2017 in Johannesburg,
