BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE

Gandhiji once said, ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’. It is very much true. It means that

if we want to see change in the world we must not start telling others what to do and what not to do
but instead we should begin with ourselves. Many people ask, ‘Can one person make a

difference?’. The answer is yes, because when each and every one of us will come forward and

take a step we can make a big difference. For example – we say that pollution in cities should be
reduced and blame the government for it but the change can only take place when each person will

take an initiative. People can take steps to bring that change when they are made aware, so

spreading awareness is also very important for bringing a change.
This quote has helped in making the world a better place to live because more and more people are

coming forward and participating in events like ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, in which cleanliness has

to begin with every individual and each one must understand its importance.
We should be the change today to bring in the revolution of making our planet a place free from

poverty, sufferings, war and violence. Be a follower of peace, sacrifice and service. ‘Be the change,
be the inspiration!’
