                4.1. Adjectives



                There  are  three  classes  of  inflected  forms  in  Japanese:

                verbs,  adjectives,  and  the  copula.  You  have  observed  the
                similar inflections of the verbs (shimasu, shimashita,  shimashō)

                and the copula (-desu, -deshita,  -deshō). Adjectives also have

                inflections for the same categories:



                                       atsui desu             it’s hot

                                             atsukatta        it was hot
                          desu

                                             atsui deshō it will (probably) be hot
