                    Cards’



                    Every  year,  the  Japanese  send  nengajō,  a  greeting
                    postcard  celebrating  the  new  year,  to  their  relatives,

                    friends, bosses, and colleagues. Unlike Christmas cards
                    in  the  West,  which  can  be  mailed  and  delivered  in

                    December, nengajō are  mailed in December,  stocked at
