MONTGOMERY CELEBRATES THE BIG DONATION
MILESTONE ANNIVERSARY YIELDS BIG RESULTS
Our warehouse teams are a vital part of our operations and
meeting our goal of helping our members grow and achieve
their dreams. Twenty years ago, we opened the Montgomery
warehouse and team members gathered to celebrate two
decades of success. Executive VP of Operations Steve
Markley and VP of Logistics Tim Miller were both present to
congratulate the team on 20 great years. “It was a jubilant event
and Steve and I had the privilege to attend,” said Tim. “Twenty
years of serving our members and helping the company grow is
a great accomplishment. Thank you, everyone!”
As a way to honor President Emeritus Don Wolf’s commitment
to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, we launched The
Big DONation on his 90th birthday. We committed to matching
all donations up to $90,000, and in total the campaign brought in
$223,938 in new pledges for the organization.
“I’m blown away by the generosity of our community,” said
Josette Rider, CEO of BBBS of Northeast Indiana. “Do it Best not
only encouraged us to launch this initiative, you contributed to
the cause. With your challenge grant and the support of so many
others, we are better equipped today to grow our mission.”
While Don unfortunately passed away on September 11 before
the conclusion of the fund drive, he was an early contributor
and regularly kept updated on its progress. With the new funds,
BBBS plans to focus on matching more youth with mentors while
supporting those who have graduated from other BBBS programs
The team presented Tim and Steve with a plaque to mark the occasion. with additional job training, coaching, and college support.
